It was a busy Sunday for Bollywood actors Imran Khan, Kalki Koechlin and Sonali Bendre as they attended the third edition of the Adopt-A-Thon, organised by Ruchi Nadkarni and Taronish Bulsara of World For All.
This two-day adoption camp saw the stars adopting stray kittens and puppies and also urging their fans to do the same.
Said Imran Khan, “Avantika and I have have eight pets at home which include two dogs and six cats. From these, some have been rescued by me while some have been picked up from the streets by my mother, too. Rather than spending your money on buying a pedigreed breed or a showpiece animal, it would be better to give a home to an animal which might otherwise die on the streets. So please do not buy animals. Adopt them, instead,“ he added.
