On his forty-first birthday yesterday, Arjun Rampal seems to have spent quality time with his family. Instead of throwing a wild party and inviting all of his glamorous Bollywood buddies, Arjun was seen at Nido, an Asian specialty restaurant in the leafy suburb of Bandra in Mumbai.
Wearing a dark tee over camel coloured pants, Arjun was accompanied by wife Meher Jesia and a young girl, whom we assume is his daughter.
The past year has been very fruitful for Arjun and saw him acting in three very diverse films – Inkaar, Satyagraha and D-Day.
And in a stroke of luck, Inkaar, which sees him starring opposite the sultry and sensuous, Chitrangda Singh, might just be re-released in cinemas across the country.
The film deals with sexual harassment at the work place. And with the entire nation currently in shock over the news of a top editor being involved in the sexual assault of one of his staffers, Viacom 18, the producers of Inkaar, think it’s the right time to release the film again.
This year also saw Arjun being signed on to endorse a brand of chocolates.
But of course, the icing on the cake was Arjun being voted as India’s Most Desirable Man.
Back in May 2013, we spoke to him about receiving the honour and what it felt like to carry such a heavy title on his shoulders. He told us, “I’d be lying if I said that I didn’t feel great. You feel great when you know that your fans have gone and voted for you, so I just want to take this opportunity to say thank you to my fans. And also, my parents were smiling from ear-to-ear because I guess, the way I look or whatever it is, is because of them.”
Here’s wishing Arjun Rampal a fabulous year ahead from Team MissMalini.
