Remember when we told you Aamir Khan flew to Australia to learn tap dancing (and baby Azad Rao Khan picked up a bunch of moves too)? Well, he received training for a song in Dhoom-3, and the promo of that song is already out. But in case you were looking forward to catching an extended version of it, just remember that all the song promos for this film are being released in 30 second segments. Because, you know, Aditya Chopra takes his secrecy very seriously and wants to ensure you go into the theatre having seen as little as possible :)
What interests me, though, is that the Dhoom-3 team claims all the songs have a Sufi touch to it, which sets it apart from the soundtracks of the previous two films. So, um… are we supposed to assume that Aamir Khan is doing some Sufi tap dancing in this film?! Make sure you also check out the short promo of Malang, where Aamir and Katrina Kaif are doing their acrobatics across stage:
In this one, I can definitely sense the Sufi vibe. We’re told that Pritam, who is the music director for this film, worked hard to strike a balance between composing tunes that keep the pace while still having that “soulful” feeling.
Psst look! In a show of solidarity, Salman Khan wore Aamir’s bowler hat while doing his links for Bigg Boss. You know, that same hat that Aamir just won’t allow himself to be spotted without?
Looks like a little friendship goes a long way, always :)
What have you thought of the song promos we’ve seen so far? Are you expecting the music to be great? Aaand.. how much are you looking forward to Aamir Khan’s tap dancing?! We wonder if his perfectionist nature kicked in here as well to ensure he got it completely right.
