Evan as Mumbai city was treated to lots of Bollywood glamour on the ramp at India Bridal Week, there was more than enough glitz and style in the front row as well.
Each of the designers who participated in the event had a Bollywood show-stopper to close their show. But apparently, that was not enough!
They also invited a number of stars to watch the show (wearing outfits by them, of course!) and were given pride of place seating in the front rows.
From over the past six days, we pick some of the best dressed (in alphabetical order).
ABHISHEK BACHCHAN:
Abhishek Bachchan was probably the biggest A-list star spotted in the front row over this six day event. He was a guest of Rohit Bal at the designer’s finale show and was seen wearing a black sherwani with trousers. The collar had red embroidered motifs on it to go with the matching red buttons. Classic!
DINO MOREA:
Looking dapper in a red bandhgala sleeveless jacket worn over a crisp white shirt and jodhpurs was actor Dino Morea. He attended Raghavendra Rathore‘s show and paid tribute to the royal designer by wearing this three-piece ensemble designed by him.
EVELYN SHARMA:
Pretty in a pink lace layered dress by Neeta Lulla was hottie actress Evelyn Sharma. The colour looks fantastic on her and we like the fact that she didn’t over do the accessories.
KARISHMA TANNA:
Actress Karishma Tanna carries off this Falguni & Shane Peacock saree with loads of confidence and elan. We love the whimsical feathers on the pallu and the stacked blingy bangles on her hand.
KRESHA BAJAJ:
This edgy look worn by the young Kresha Bajaj is definitely a winner in our book. We love the way she wears a saree drape around a pair of tights and that awesome beaded cape around her torso is absolutely lust-worthy. And don’t miss that must-have, to-die-for silver quilted clutch by Chanel. Drool!
MANDIRA BEDI:
Having just launched her own range of self-designed sarees, Mandira Bedi took the opportunity to promote her own label by wearing this parrot-green net saree with a sexy blouse, to India Bridal Week. We’re glad Mandira sported her signature noodle straps. We wouldn’t want it any other way.
RICHA CHADDA:
Richa Chadda confessed to us that she enjoys adding a quirky edge to her dressing and that’s enough to put her on our well-dressed list. She doesn’t need to wear a designer label to look stylish.
The Ram-Leela and Gangs Of Wasseypur actress came dressed in a black and white striped body-hugging dress but instead of wearing boring black and / or white footwear to match her dress, Richa camped it up in hot pink heels. She also wore a pink finger ring in the shape of sun-glasses. We love!
SAMEERA REDDY:
Keeping it simple and zen in a white ensemble by Nishka Lulla was actress Sameera Reddy who came to watch Neeta Lulla’s show on the last day.
Says Sameera, “I bought this wrap-top and skirt from Nishka a long time back and have never had the opportunity to wear it before.”
We like that Sameera wore interesting chunky silver jewelry around her neck and on her hands to add that bit of bling without it being too over-powering. Chic!
SONAL CHAUHAN:
This look sported by Sonal Chauhan is undoubtedly one of those that’s on the top of our list. Sonal attended Neeta Lulla’s show and wore this two-piece by Neeta.
The asymmetric-cut top shows off a hint of her curvy waist while the slit in her skirt reveals her fabulously toned legs.
Sonal also went basic on her accessories and chose to wear an interesting neck-piece and a simple watch around her wrist.
VIDYA MALVADE:
Vidya Malvade went ultra-glam in a shiny dual-layered cocktail dress by Mandira Wirk. The short-in-front-long-at-the-back dress had an interesting train and swirled around her ankles. Totally red-carpet!
