Says Priya, “We, as a race, are always lusting to stay ahead of the game and achieve perfection. At times, this can be a huge challenge but even then, we persevere and attempt to settle for nothing but the best.

I’m inspired by a woman who is constantly lusting after new challenges. She is a passionate, adventurous, and independent woman who can multi-task and do it all. She is the kind of woman whom the rest of womankind envy. They envy her style, poise and wisdom, while men lust after her beauty and charm.”

Pria will display on the ramp, her signature kaftans and swimwear. This time around, she accessorizes them with belts and antique gold lace to give them a more feminine look.

For destination weddings, Pria will also debut a line of saris, tunics, maxis, mini dresses, jumpsuits, crop-tops teamed with high-waist pants and hippie pants.

Of course, this being a resortwear collection, the designer has used bright and happy colours like neon greens, fuchsia, sunny yellow and turquoise. There will also be a selection of beachy off-whites, for those who prefer to keep their wardrobe muted.

Adds Pria, “Even though my IRFW collection will be more casual with a bohemian feel with lots of palazzo pants, blouses and capris, the collection still represents very high end fashion.”
