We’ve been seeing a lot of actress Sonal Chauhan lately – not that we’re complaining – ’cause each time we’ve spotted her, we’ve been quite impressed with her fashion choices.
Right from the time she began promoting her film 3G (in which she starred opposite Neil Nitin Mukesh) in February 2013, Sonal has been sporting some pretty chic and sexy dresses.
To her very first promotional event, Sonal wore a white sequin Namrata Joshipura dress, with cut-outs on the waist. She followed it up a month later with an asymmetrical dress from Pankaj & Nidhi‘s fall/winter 2013 presentation. Both looks were winners in our book.
But if you take into account her more recent appearances, Sonal’s style oozes more sexiness and she seems to be more comfortable with her body.
For the amfAR gala held in Mumbai last month, she wore a backless fire-engine red gown by Amit Aggarwal and to Neeta Lulla’s India Bridal week show, Sonal was voted among our best dressed in an asymmetric-cut top and slinky skirt.
Last night in Mumbai, Sonal made two very glamorous public appearances. The first was for Amit Aggarwal‘s winter preview at Atosa and the second was for the Grey Goose Style Du Jour fashion preview.
Says her stylist, Devraj Das, “Even though Amit aggarwal had some fabulous red-carpet worthy gowns on display at his preview, we chose this skirt and top for Sonal to wear because it goes with her personality – young and fun. Sonal has a fab body and we wanted to show it off with this silhouette. In fact, we usually get her to wear a lot of short stuff because she has fab legs as well. The muted sheen on the top is so festive and apt for this season.”
Speaking about Sonal’s second look for the Grey Goose party, Devraj tells us, “We didn’t want to do anything that is predictable and I wanted to be a bit experimental with her look. Hence, we chose this dress by SS Surya that is totally hand crafted and hence, considered ‘couture’. The dress bares much of her back and if you look closely, there are two hand-embroidered peacocks on the back.”
