Salman Khan‘s Jai Ho which is loosely based on the 2006 Telugu film Stalin is said to be actually inspired by the Hollywood film Pay it Forward! Salman who plays a former Indian Army Major in the film believes in the policy of paying it forward in the film. (It’s all about Being Human you see!)
He sets up a system where he helps one person who in turn is supposed to help three others when he receives help setting off a chain reaction. (Sound familiar?)
Psst! Tabu plays Salman’s sister while Daisy Shah is his love interest. The film also has cameos by Genelia D’souza and Suniel Shetty.
Well at least this sounds like a super feel-good family film. Although Salman Khan may have to work on his loveable and innocent face if he wants to evoke anywhere near the same emotions as an 11-year-old Haley Joel Osment did! Just saying…
