After Salman Khan‘s solo, introductory song in Jai Ho – titled Baaki Sab First Class Hai – the team has now released a romantic number from the film. This one, called Tere Naina, is a slower song, sung by Shaan and Shreya Ghoshal – and we all know how good their voices are for romantic tracks. Check out the video promo and let us know what you think – it features newbie Daisy Shah opposite Salman. This is her first Hindi film where she has a full role, so for most of us, it’s the first time really seeing her as an actress.
I can’t say that I like the song – Shaan and Shreya have lovely voices, but the track itself is strictly okay, at best. Sameer Anjaan‘s lyrics aren’t anything to write home about either. Daisy, too, is decent to look at, but doesn’t make much of an impact either way – and she and Salman have practically no chemistry, so the whole promo ends up feeling a bit thanda to me. What do you think of the song?
Psst! Did you notice that quick moment in the video where Daisy hugs Salman but has her fingers crossed? Can’t decide whether her character’s fingers are crossed for good luck or because she’s lying. You’ll see the scene if you watch from 1:22; check it out and let us know what your thoughts are.
Here’s the first song promo, Baaki Sab First Class, in case you missed it earlier:
