The day is finally here! 31st December (New Year’s Eve) and if you’re still scrambling for the perfect outfit to wear this NYE to usher in a stylish 2014, fret not! I have found some looks from the runway that can be easily translated off the ramp. If you’re sartorially challenged, read on!
Get High on Shine:
Instead of the usual metallic dress – switch things around with sequinned pants. Pair it with either a neutral top or a dull bronze t-shirt inspired by Not So Serious by Pallavi Mohan.
If you have some envious pins – flaunt them in a metallic mini skirt seen at Surily Goel.
The Embellished LBD:
The little black dress is a staple in our wardrobes. However, if you want to make a head turning statement, why not got for embellishment that’s featured on the sleeves spotted at Namrata Joshipura? It makes for a fierce look and no extra jewellery required! Just ensure that your hair is sleek for this look.
Get Lacy:
Looking to take the plunge? If you are a fan of showing off your décolletage but not comfortable flaunting it at a party filled with a gazillion unknown people, take note – try an outfit that has a lace panel.
Get Artsy:
Heading out for a quiet dinner date or cocktail party at home – snap a dress that has soft, watercolour prints seen at Sanchita. It will instantly put you in the mood. Just remember to opt for nude footwear as you don’t want it to distract it from your print.
Go for Contrast:
I haven’t forgotten the boys! Instead of picking a matching jacket, why not opt for a contrasting one instead? Forgo the oxfords and socks in favour of smoking slippers.
