The GiMA (Global Indian Music Awards) took place last night. They were hosted by Ranveer Singh, who had everyone in splits. While there were some great looks on the red carpet, the others were quite ho hum. Look at the what everyone was wearing and tell us in the comments below, the looks you loved and the ones that didn’t work for you.
Monica Dogra in Masaba
Singer/Actress Monica Dogra confessed on Instagram that this was the first time she wore a sari on the red carpet. True to her offbeat style, she wore a striped sari with a stamp print motif. I love that she paired it with a bra-style sari blouse. A messy bun by B:Blunt completed her look.
Sophie Choudry in Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna
Sophie Choudry sparkled in a Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna embellished gown that had a deep thigh-high slit. She teased her hair into an updo and wore black platform pumps.
Aditi Rao Hydari
Aditi Rao Hydari wore a strapless blue gown that had a satin belt. While I love the neckline and the hue on her, I’m not totally sold on the overall outfit. I’ve seen her do better.
Sunny Leone went for a dramatic draped, lace, feathered gown that looked like a travesty on her. She needs a makeover pronto!
Divya Khosla in Sabyasachi
Divya Khosla wore a gorgeous Sabyasachi red sari on the red carpet – she looked classy and elegant. I loved the braided hairdo and jewelled clutch. Such a nice, clean look.
Sonakshi Sinha in Gauri & Nainika
Sonakshi Sinha has had a good run on the red carpet at the awards show. Remember her Amit GT gown and that sublime Rachel Roy jumpsuit? This time around she picked a deep blue metallic gown from Gauri & Nainika. Side-Swept hair and a golden clutch finished her look – easily my favourite of the night.
Another favourite – Richa Chadda wore a white embellished jacket with a black maxi skirt. Strappy shoes and smokey eyeshadow completed her look – I likey!
