We all love looking good. We invest so much in potions, serums and sprays to make us look like a million bucks. However, there are some very basic beauty mistakes you could be making that are keeping you from looking your best. Read on to find out more.

Having Very Hot Showers:

Now this is something we tend to do moreso during the winters. Staying under the shower with steaming hot water might feel really good with the freezing temperatures but it actually saps your skin of all the moisture, making your skin drier than it actually is. Instead, stick to having lukewarm baths and slathering on tons of body lotion when your skin is still damp.

Sleeping With Your Hair Open:

Our scalp secretes oil and dry flakes. These often tend to fall on your face and cause acne. Avoid sleeping with your hair open; instead make a loose plait or bun. But make sure your hair tie isn’t tied on too tight.

Using the Wrong Exfoliator:

Exfoliating is the best way to get rid of old skin, but have you chosen the right formula? Avoid choosing one in which the particles are too grainy. Instead, pick beads that are less harsh on your skin. Also, never skip exfoliation; once a week is enough.

Pumping Your Mascara Wand:

The quickest way to dry out your expensive mascara wand – pumping it in an out. This lets the air in and causes the formula to dry.

Neglecting Your Hands and Feet:

Aside from your neck, your hands are a dead giveaway of wrinkles. Your hands and feet do the most amount of work for your body, so treat them right. Apply a thick layer of moisturizer on your feet and wear socks so that it gets absorbed. The same applies for your hands but just wear gloves. 😉
