Uh oh! Could this be the beginning of the end? Pop megastar Justin Bieber was arrested last night in Miami for drag racing and DUI (Driving under the Influence). The Baby singer who is all of 19 had recently been investigated on felony charges after he was accused of egging his neighbour’s home and causing damage worth $20,000.
According to the publication, US Weekly, who have obtained the police report, “Officials smelled ‘an odour of alcohol emanating from the driver’s breath’; it also describes Bieber as having ‘slow deliberate movements’ and ‘bloodshot eyes’. According to the arresting officer, the teen superstar cussed repeatedly during the pat-down and resisted arrest without violence. He was also driving with an expired Georgia license.”
The news first broke out when the Miami Beach police tweeted about his arrest.
Bieber has courted controversy in the past, from being accused of smoking marijuana, visiting a brothel in Rio di Janeiro, peeing in a bucket outside a nightclub and defacing a poster of former President Bill Clinton. He received lots of backlash when he visited the Anne Frank museum and wrote in the guestbook that Frank would probably be a a Belieber. *Rolls eyes* Aside from that, he’s got into scuffles at nightclubs in South Korea and Toronto.
Justin is now out on bail, having appeared in bond court in the afternoon wearing the orange jumpsuit. The bail was set at $2,500: $1,000 for DUI, $1,000 for resisting arrest, and $500 for an expired Georgia license.
