This is a really pretty dress that designer Sailex showcased at his Lakme Fashion Week show back in August 2013. The cherry blossom applique flowers, the pretty pink hue and the net detailing make this dress perfect for a red carpet event.
Actress Kalki Koechlin wore it to an event hosted by Cosmopolitan magazine in Mumbai, yesterday and we think her reed-thin and lithe frame did perfect justice to the silhouette.
However, we have a grouse with her messy hairstyle and her chunky footwear. Kalki should have worn her hair loose around her shoulders, tied it up in a top-bun or worn it in a sleek ponytail. This messy look actually takes away from the genius of the dress.
As for her footwear, we would have love to see her wear golden stilettos to match her House Of Chic earrings.
