When Moët Hennessy decided to do the formal launch of their first “Made in India” sparkling wine in the Capital, you knew it was going to be a night of decadence. It came a few months after the Mumbai launch, but the Capital’s chic set did not seem to mind.

Lap (the nightclub owned by Arjun Rampal) was transformed into a winter garden, and the sounds of Parisian DJ Stephene Pompougnac and flowing Chandon made sure you were kept warm. Ensuring that the champagne was poured into the flutes with pure French finesse were Jean Guillaume Prats (CEO & President Moët Hennessy Estates and Wines) and Bruno Yvon, the brand’s India Head.

But the brand obviously felt the need to inject some Bombay glamour into the night as many guests were flown down from Mumbai for the night including Dino Morea, Arjun Rampal, Nandita Mahtani and Bhavna & Chunky Panday.

But the real star of the night was Kalki Kochelin – dressed in Dior, she was full of sparkle. Everyone wanted to be on her table, and she ensured that everyone who came to wish her left her table with a full glass of Chandon in their hands. With her French roots, this Bollywood star would make the perfect brand ambassador for the sparkling— N’est-ce pas?
