The Derby races were held in Mumbai over the weekend and this two-day extravaganza saw some dazzling glamour in the form of a fashion show by Swapnil Shinde and Falguni & Shane Peacock.
Of course, where there is glamour, there has to be significant Bollywood presence too and Sunday afternoon saw actress Raveena Tandon model a gown by the Peacocks.
The shows were directed and choreographed by Achla Sachdev who had a blast putting them together.
Says Achla, “It’s so awesome to see Raveena looking so ravishing and sexy with a figure that would give many women half her age a run for their money. She looked resplendent and has lost oodles of weight. Most importantly, she was awesome as ever and was very bubbly, energetic, talkative and enthusiastic. I have met her after few years but we shared the same camaraderie that we have always shared.
What I appreciate about Raveena is that she has no starry airs or demands. She got ready with her hair, makeup and costume in forty-five minutes flat.
After I explained to her what she had to do at the show, she sashayed out in her gown and the crowd went berserk as she walked the whole paddock leaving no fan dissatisfied. It was lovely to see her happy and full of beans.”
Raveena will next be seen on the big screen again in Anurag Kashyap‘s Bombay Velvet in which she plays the role of a jazz singer from the 1960’s era. The film will release at the end of the year and is currently being shot in Sri Lanka.
In fact, Raveena has also acted in a Telegu film, Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda. The well-known South star, Mohan Babu, will be seen romancing this Bollywood beauty in a song sequence which has been shot in numerous exotic locations.
