While Salman Khan has been pushing for Elli Avram to be a part of Sooraj Barjatya‘s next (since Deepika Padukone is supposed to be having some major date issues), it looks like another actress has bagged the role instead. Or, actually, she is currently close to bagging it – nothing seems to have been signed as of yet!
I’m told by a source that the latest development is that Sonam Kapoor is close to being finalised as the female lead for this film. She is, in fact, practically ready to sign on the dotted line for this one. However, there’s a hitch: the negotiations are currently stuck on money issues. Sonam is asking for a higher price than the producers are willing to pay her at this point. If they are able to sort out their money matters, then Sonam should end up signing the film. If not… well, the female lead will be one big question mark yet again.
Meanwhile, Sonam is also doing Arbaaz Khan‘s next, titled Dolly Ki Doli.
