Hello.

We’re doing something a little different today. Like you, we’re tired of the inequality, discrimination, trolling, sexism, and violence we see in the news and social media every day.

We at MissMalini are looking inwards to discover how we can drive real social change. We acknowledge that change starts at home, and that it is up to us to be the change we wish to see in the country we love.

We pledge to do our part by creating a more inclusive environment in which all are accepted - regardless of race, age, gender, religion, caste or sexual orientation.

Starting today we pledge:

1. Fix You

I love this song as it has the ability to transport you to another world altogether. The lyrics… the melody… and Chris Martin‘s voice are simply surreal.

2. Abhi Mujh mein Kahin

By far one of Sonu Nigam‘s best tracks. Its beautiful melody has such an enchanting feel to it that one can’t help but listen to it on loop!

3. Nothing Like Us

He may cop a lot of criticism, but Justin Bieber is a real talent. I love this song as it gives me goosebumps every single time I listen to it. It really reaches out and draws you in… giving one a feeling that is hard to express in words!

4. Zindagi Ke Safar Mein

No list can be complete with an old time Hindi classic! Kishore da’s incredible rendition and its lyrical value really endears this track to me in so many ways.

5. Home

I love this song as it instils in me the urge to head up on stage, grab the mic and sigh my heart out! There are very few songs that make me feel like that and this is definitely one of them.

6. O Re Piya

This song touches my heart, mind and soul all at once. I can’t help but forget everything on my mind and instead focus my senses on enjoying an incredible piece of music!

7. Neon

I’m a massive John Mayer fan and this happens to be my favourite track sung by him. It is an extremely difficult song to sing and perform live to, but I’d like to think that I do a decent enough job every time I try to pull it off!

8. Pehla Nasha

Perhaps the most romantic song I’ve ever heard and undoubtedly Jatin-Lalit at their vintage best!

9. I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing

This amazing song reminds of me of my Berklee days and all the great memories associated with them! Reliving the past sometimes adds great value to our present!

10. Tum Hi Ho

This is such a moving track and that’s something I realise every time I hear it. The lyrics and arrangement are really awe inspiring!
