We just spotted this online and even though we don’t reside in Atlanta, it has given us another reason to dream about our favourite TV show.
So here are our thoughts on why it would be amazing to be a part of The Vampire Diaries. The show is perceived to be some sort of a copy of the Twilight series. But those who watch it know it is more than just that… (umm) Ian Somerhalder… no, no, it is more than just him also. It’s different! Let me list 5 reasons why TVD is a great show and what we wouldn’t do to be a part of it.
The Pacemaker
The show runs at such a fast pace, it’s almost like a pacemaker for your heart. Nothing is too stretched; so much so that emotions are packed into fleeting scenes. No matter what the pace of your life, the show is definitely going to be faster, speeding with a mix of emotions, fun and drama.
Go Retro
The show is filled with flashbacks, a classic trope of vampire fiction, that TVD agreeably sticks to. It is pretty natural to have flashbacks when you have characters that have lived for over a hundred years or so. Playing a vampire basically means that if your story is being told, you have to wear the retro look, which includes period garb, inaccurate hairstyles, suspenders, corsets and the wigs! Everybody loves retro, don’t they?
The Love Triangles
There are love triangles all through the series. Be it Stefan, Elena and Damon or Klaus, Caroline and Tyler, there are bound to be love complexes in the show. The good thing here is that these love triangles are not insipid, contrary to what one would normally assume about them. In fact, they are exciting, confusing and make you change your choice every now and then. The characters have shades of grey and siding with just one could be a challenge. If you were a part of the cast, you could maybe play a part in one of the triangles as well. What’s better than romancing a TVD star on-screen? (You might get to kiss one too!)
Witness the Crazies

If you think watching TVD is fun, then experiencing what goes on behind the camera seems like the most amazing time you would ever have. The cast is crazy beyond one’s imagination. You will literally start to love them. You will see the side of them none of your friends will ever get to see, FOR REAL!
The Scenery
Yes, the locations that they shoot at are just so picturesque, but we actually mean the picturesque cast that will be around you. Geez! Being surrounded by good-looking people is all that one wishes for. Imagine the charm of Paul Wesley, the sight of Nina Dobrev and ALL of Ian Somehalder.
