Turns out, the actress likes to entertain herself each time someone calls!
She uses different dialects and accents to first see who is on the other line, and then changes gears depending on who it is. If the person is someone she knows, then she reveals her identity. Otherwise, she hangs up with the classic “Madam ghar pe nahi hai” line. And when Rekha pretends to be a maid, she is often Nepali or sometimes Marathi!
