Nagesh Kukunoor was in celebration mode as his latest film, Lakshmi, has won the Mercedes-Benz Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature at the Palm Springs International Film Festival & ShortFest last month.

Lakshmi will also be shown at the Toronto Reel Film Festival, DC Film Festival, New York Indian Film Festival and the Melbourne International Film Festival. Who needs more reasons to celebrate?

Present at his party were producer Elahe Hiptoola, Divya Dutta, Kabir Khan, Mini Mathur, Poonam Dhillon, Rannvijay Singha, Rajiv Laxman, Vikas Bhalla, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Ayesha Takia.

See what they wore:

THE MEN

RANNVIJAY SINGHA

Sticking to his biker look from his famed TV show, Rannvijay cut a handsome figure in a black leather jacket, black tee and ivory pants. And we love those chunky boots!

CHANDAN ROY SANYAL

While we think Chandan could have done away with that striped shirt, we liked those comfy pants and that hat, which adds dimension to his easy-going personality.

VIKAS BHALLA

Singer and actor Vikas Bhalla showed off his muscles in a tight green tee over jeans. Casual and colourful!

NAGESH KUKUNOOR

The ace director stuck to his signature stark black tee-and-jeans look. But that grey and black hoodie is at the top of our must-have list.

the ladies

SUCHITRA KRISHNAMOORTHY

This is clearly a look which doesn’t do Suchitra any justice. Not only is the silhouette too loose for her, but it also makes her look two sizes larger than she actually is. Fined!

AYESHA TAKIA

Ayesha Takia went for monochromatic white and black. Now if only she’d matched her footwear with the rest of her look! It would have been much nicer.

MADHOO

Roja star Madhoo opted for a colour-blocked ensemble by Manish Malhotra, accessorized with a statement neck-piece. Clearly this is the best look of the evening.

MARIA GORETTI

Maria Goretti looked very pretty in a floral printed kaftan. We think she could have opted for a less flashy bag, however.

DIVYA DUTTA

Divya Dutta wore a version of the LBD. But while the embroidery down the front might be distracting, don’t miss the fab green nail polish on her toe-nails.
