Actress Vishakha Singh attended an awards ceremony over the weekend in Mumbai in a structured ensemble by MapxencaRS that was debuted on the ramp at Lakme Fashion week in March 2013.
Say Riddhi & Siddhi Mapxencar, the twin sisters behind the label, “The structured, high shoulder, pleated jacket worn by Vishakha is made of pure brocade silk which has very subtle gold motifs on it. She wears it with bright orange Jodhpur-style trousers, made from pure georgette. The trouser has pleats in front and detailing in the form of flap pockets, too. This ensemble is part of our summer/resort 2013 collection which was inspired by our visit to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar‘s ashram in Bangaluru.
Since Vishakha loves to experiment with edgy clothes, we felt this look would go best on her. Also, if you notice, she hasn’t worn any accessory on her ears or on her neck as the garment itself, is a statement piece. The entire look has an Indo-Western feel to it.”
A similar version of this jacket has been worn in the past by Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt as well.
