They met, they dated, they broke up, they dated, they broke up! What? This is the story of Katy Perry and John Mayer. The couple has sparked the rumours of a reported split, AGAIN!
Perry and Mayer started dating in 2012 and have had an on-off relationship since then. Until, March last year when the two finally dated for a long time. Finally there was a power couple that made us believe that all love stories in Hollywood are not short-lived.
One source dished the deets on the current situation between the two musicians to Perez Hilton, saying, “Not sure how long it will last this time but yes, it is off for now.” (Fingers crossed!)
According to another insider, the subject of KatyKat’s Prismatic world tour was apparently a touchy topic for the two. They revealed, “She’s stressed about the tour, they’ve been fighting. It is probably for the best, because she is going to be on tour for forever. Of course this happens all the time, I can’t keep track anymore. But for now they are done.”
Just in December, the 29-year-old songstress had told Marie Claire about how serious she was about Mayer, “I took a break from my boyfriend, not one that I wanted. It was like a splash of cold water to search inward on what was going on with me,” she said at the time. “That is what led me to this new awakening, this realizing, ‘If I don’t do some self-love, I’m not going to be able to keep the love that I want.’” In the interview, she called Mayer a “fantastic partner” and said she’d been a big fan of his for a long time. “He’s got a brilliant, brilliant mind … It’s a rad, mature relationship.”
The reason does not seem very serious, so we are hoping that it is a continuation of their on-off love game. They are so beautiful together. Their music video really made our hearts skip a beat, looking at just how much in love they are. :’)
Considering their history, we are pretty sure that they will get back together in no time.
