I just had the most FABULOUS Saturday EVER, getting up close and personal with some of Hollywood’s finest at the Film Independent Spirit Awards on Oscar weekend in Los Angeles and taking in all their trendy “blue carpet” style. Wanna see? 🙂
PS. I of course loved wearing my Nupur Kanoi jumpsuit & jacket paired with Azva jewellery (get this look here) Do you like? 🙂 And thank you #LoveGold for this epic opportunity! xoxo
#Spirit AWARDS Celebrity & Style Spotting!
Look! It’s Josh Radnor, who plays Theodore Evelyn “Ted” Mosby on my absolutely favourite show How I Met Your Mother! I literally ran into him as I was rushing around and when I looked up and saw who it was, I was like, “Omigosh, its Ted!” *LOL*
Of course THIS lady needs no introduction (especially since she bagged a Spirit Award as well as an Oscar this weekend!) The inimitable Cate Blanchett. (PS. The guy in the photo with her was a “fan man” who managed to intercept ALL his favourite celebrities and snag a selfie, look at you Mr. Slick!)
She wasn’t the only Oscar winner in the house, however. Matthew McConaughey breezed in wearing a brown suit and blue shoes shortly after!
I also got THIS close to hottie Joseph Gordon-Levitt but he seemed to be in a Premium Rush. So I’ll just have to Inception him into my dreams later 😛
Look it’s…
I somehow managed to stall Jon Hamm (aka Don Draper) long enough for a photo opp and he graciously obliged. He did express concern though that he would now have to stop and do 400 more of these! Goes with the territory eh Mr. Draper? 🙂
And look! I spotted his Mad Men co-star! Elisabeth Moss aka Peggy Olson!
More TV love for Aubrey Plaza. She’s awesome on Parks & Recreation. Now if only Aziz Ansari had been there too!
Hottie Paula Patton from Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol in the house! She was introduced as the woman with the sexiest last name by host Patton Oswalt 😛
Funny girl Kathryn Hahn from Crossing Jordan was all smiles and chatter on her way in, happily posing for pictures with fans.
Oh and please notice the Café Patron! They had bottles on every table, my kinda party 🙂
It might be the shade of magenta that did it for me, but I thought this look was super cute with those white brogues!
And how can you not love a dress that looks like ice candy on a rainy day? Well done Bonnie Sturdivant (the star of Mud.)
Speaking of candy, who doesn’t love an m&m and gummy bear bar?!
I totally loved all three of Julie Delpy‘s films, Before Sunset, Before Sunrise and Before Midnight so it was great to see her in person all smiling and sweet. In fact this was my favourite line from the first film: “You can never replace anyone because everyone is made up of such beautiful specific details.” True that.
Lucky Shailene Woodley stars in The Secret Life of the American Teenager and alongside George Clooney in the critically acclaimed The Descendants.
For some reason it was a wintery weekend in LA with lots of rain so everyone was rocking their furry friends 🙂
Hold everything (Best Supporting Actor Spirit Awards & Oscar winner) Jared Leto has arrived. Looking killer cool in his easy street style…
…remind you of anyone? Yup that’s my stylist Marv D’Souza and I believe he is planning to grow his hair! 🙂
Best Supporting Actress winner – at both the Spirit Awards and the Oscars – Lupita Nyong’o had the best birthday weekend ever basically winning both her nominations! She also gave props to her mom for being so supportive of her dreams, awww! (That’s her mom behind her in the green dress btw.)
Her co-star and lead of 12 Years a Slave Chiwetel Ejiofor looked dapper in a blue suit too.
Keanu Reeves breezed in (no pun intended – you know his name means “cool breeze over the mountains” right?! *lol*) sporting this older bearded look. I love Keanu (or at least I used to) but this look is not working for me.
SNL comic Andy Samberg looked uber preppy cute in his v neck and glasses…
I heart Paul Dano. He was so friendly and sweet! Remember his movies I raving about? Ruby Sparks, Little Miss Sunshine and Prisoners? He’s also in 12 Years a Slave. Love him 🙂
I loved Rosario Dawson‘s (from Sin City) messy updo.
Also gotta love Michael Fassbender for his performance in Inglourious Basterds.
Lake Bell from In a World… was super sweet and posed for a picture because I told her about my Twitter conversation with Ashwin Mushran, look!
Funnily enough this is also a true story and I have proof! (I admit I tried to find his name card later to take home as a souvenir but it appears someone beat me to it!)
Oh look! It’s Jane Lynch from Glee. She made so many nautical jokes while introducing Captain Phillips I almost snorted champagne up my nose 🙂
I saw this movie 20 Feet From Stardom on my flight so I was excited to see Judith Hill walking in, she was supposed to sing a duet with Michael Jackson on This is It, so just imagine her heartbreak 🙁
I also ended up about ye far from the one and only Reese Witherspoon!
And the amazing Forest Whitaker (FYI everybody MUST watch The Butler)
Fruitvale Station star Michael B. Jordon brought his old-school style with a light suit and boldly patterned shirt. And look, there’s that fan man again 🙂
Andre Royo aka Reginald “Bubbles” Cousins from The Wire, meanwhile, was wearing the coolest pants!
The cheeky Miles Teller of The Spectacular Now (not a spectacular movie, but good time-pass I must admit) seemed upbeat!
And who doesn’t love Andrew Dice Clay?
Meanwhile, Alex Karpovsky from Girls gave me bunny ears!
Thanks for keeping me company LoveGold ladies and of course my favourite gent – Nowshad!
This was my first Hollywood awards show and I had a blast! Thanks again LoveGold for making this trip to Hollywood a truly glittering experience, especially in my gorgeous Azva jewellery! 🙂 xoxo
Psst! Be sure to tell me who YOUR favourite Hollywood star that I spotted was in the comments below!
