Yesterday evening, Shah Rukh Khan celebrated with TAG Heuer for the golden era of the Carrera, along with Tanaaz Bhatia, Kunal Kohli, Tarun Mansukhani and Punit Malhotra. SRK is always entertaining, but the actor was in full form last night by making fun of people! While Tarun was mostly spared a dig, Kunal and Punit were on the receiving ends of some of SRK’s hilariously mean comments – as was Salman Khan, indirectly! Of course, we’ve noted down our 5 favourite jokes of the night, so read on to know what had us in splits during the event!

1. Super powers

As part of the event, Shah Rukh decided to ask the three directors some rapid fire questions. When he reached Punit Malhotra, the first thing he asked him is what super power he would like to have. Punit replied by saying that he’d like to be invisible, to get into some bedrooms and bathrooms. While that could have been a juicy answer, SRK took it to the next level by saying, “After Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, you should be invisible.” Everyone cracked up – Punit included!

2. No scripts for Punit

Punit took the jab in his stride, hugging SRK and then even cracking a joke on himself. SRK asked him how he planned on writing scripts if he spent so much time in bedrooms and bathrooms (while ‘invisible’, you know). Punit responded saying that this time around, he planned on hiring someone else to write his scripts. SRK’s response? “Good decision.” Everyone, of course, laughed again.

3. Kunal Kohli’s autobiography

SRK moved on to Kunal Kohli next, and read out a question from his list: If you were to write your autobiography, what would it be called? He couldn’t resist making fun, though, and also joked, “First of all, why would we read his autobiography? But that’s beside the point!” That got a laugh and something of a shrug out of Kunal, who then said, “Fanaa: Destroyed in love, destroyed in cinema, destroyed by Shah Rukh Khan.” SRK then laughed and said, “No, no, no, don’t say that. He’s never cast me. He’s cast other heroes, so he’s been destroyed by others.”

4. Jai Ho

SRK’s next question to Kunal was about the last Hindi film he saw that he didn’t like. Kunal answered saying Delhi-6, and SRK took the opportunity to pull his leg about that a bit as well. Once that was done, he asked Kunal what was the last film he saw, period. Kunal replied with Jai Ho, which of course made everyone in the audience start laughing in anticipation. There was a long pause from SRK, and then he said, “Well, there’s no accounting for taste.” Ouch.

5. No more insults

Kunal decided to turn the question around on SRK, by asking him what the last Hindi film he saw that he didn’t like was. Shah Rukh was having none of it, and threw the joke back on Kunal by saying, “Don’t you think I’ve insulted you enough on this stage already?” *Hahaha*

All in all, it was a great night with some fun people – and you know you’re always guaranteed a laugh when Shah Rukh Khan is around. Like Tarun said, “Only two things sell in this country – sex and Shah Rukh Khan.” You agree?
