Day 1 ended with Tarun Tahiliani‘s brilliance on the runway. The show was filled with the usual elegance in a blend of subtle and sorbet tones. Tarun also presented pieces from his newly launched range of handloom saris and dupattas woven in traditional techniques. Here are 5 pieces we loved in the collection showcased at Lakme Fashion Week summer/resort 2014!
Bolero Jackets
The show was styled to perfection with each piece showcased and in perspective. Our eyes were glued to this gorgeous bolero jacket worn by Surelee Joseph.
Drape on Drape
Tarun’s love and control on drapes once again presented in a an effortlessly cool way. Relaxed and yet refined for the summer.
Soft, Light and Layered
Give us some white, something soft and layer them beautifully on a man. And we’re all happy!
Chikankari and the see through back!
Now take some white again and put it in a delicately pristine set up and there’s romance in the air!
Neck Detailing
High necks for the summer? Tarun seems to think so and he showed us how beautifully it can be aced!
So those were our most loved delights at Tarun Tahiliani’s show last night. Stay tuned for all updates from Lakme Fashion Week. MissMalini is also hosting Google Hangouts all week at the venue and we’re talking to some of the coolest names present at LFW. So don’t forget to tune in!
