Lakme Fashion Week is still abuzz with celebrity spottings and gossip, mostly within the exclusive Stoli Lounge. Designer Shruti Sacheti had a number of famous people like Vishakha Singh, Kim Sharma, Andy Kumar, Roshni Chopra, Shibani Kashyap, Urvashi Rautela and Ramona Arena attend her pre-show cocktails, while the pretty Kresha Bajaj had Boman Irani, Ratna Pathak Shah and Pooja Bedi on her list.
At night, Anita Dongre had her usual gang of Urmila Matondkar, Sangeeta Bijlani and Mugdha Godse liven up party vibe in the lounge.
Going with Stoli’s mantra that “The Most Original People Deserve The Most Original Vodka“, Team MissMalini spoke to a few celebrities about what makes them original:
ANDY KUMAR
Team MissMalini: What makes you original?
Andy Kumar: What makes me original is the way that I think. It’s what’s in my head that makes me wear the clothes I want to wear, go where I want to go. What makes me original is that I don’t follow trends. I make my own trends in my own head and make them work (for me) even if they dont work for others.
Team MM: What is the most original fashion show you have ever seen?
AK: The most original fashion show I’ve seen would have to be the McQueen fashion show when Alexander McQueen, himself was alive. It was the butterfly collection and I absolutely fell in love with that.
Kresha Bajaj
Team MM: What makes you original?
Kresha Bajaj: I have this attitude which all about “Do what you want, wear what you want. You can follow fashion but don’t let it overtake you.” I think it’s also my cutting-edge nature which makes me and my collection original.
Team MM: What is the most original fashion show you have ever seen?
KB: It would be the Hussein Chalayan show where he used lights and the technology he used for fashion – I think that was truly original.

Team MM: What makes you original?
Ramona Arena: What makes me original is the fact that I don’t go outside of being who I am, which is me. I am an individual – just like every other person on this planet. So my individuality makes me original and different from everyone else. You’ll see it in the way I dress, in the different kinds of things I do at work, in the things I eat, in the music that I listen to.
Team MM: What is the most original fashion show you have ever seen?
RA: One of the most original shows I saw was Gaurav Gupta‘s show last night. I think the clothes he showed were really out there. Seeing those clothes really wants to make you wear those clothes. But to wear them, you have to have an absolutely killer body so that in itself motivates you to go out there and work out to get that body.
I also loved Shruti Sancheti’s collection which was absolutely elegant and fun. I liked how she combined lace and flowers. It was all so feminine.

Team MM: What makes you original?
Vishakha Singh: I think its my simplicity that makes me original because it is so rare.
Team MM: What is the most original fashion show you have ever seen?
VS: I’ve sen quite a few but today, Shruti Sancheti’s show stood out.The mix of the patterns. The handloom fabrics. These all stood out. She managed to work global sensibilities with the Indian touches, beautifully.
