Although Farah Khan is supposed to be a great person to work with – and she certainly has good personal relationships with the cast of Happy New Year – I hear she can be quite the taskmaster when she wants to be. She’s often heard telling both Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone to not spend so much time chatting and relaxing, and instead concentrate on rehearsing for the dance numbers in the film!
The team is currently shooting for Happy New Year in Film City, where a massive set has been erected. These are some crazy hours, too – Farah herself tweeted that, for two whole weeks, they will be shooting between the hours of 6pm and 6am (she even warned against shooting Saturday nights when you’re going to have 3 kids at home on a Sunday *ouch*). But crazy hours aside, the director is ensuring that everything gets completed – she’s known for her temper and so she won’t let anyone off the hook when it comes to getting work done for the film on time!
