One look through Sonam Kapoor‘s Twitter timeline and you can tell that she is super pumped about Dolly Ki Doli, her upcoming film with Rajkummar Rao, Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma, which is being produced by Arbaaz Khan and directed by debutante Abhishek Dogra. However, a lil birdie tells us that the story of this movie is actually quite similar to that of a Punjabi film that released during the second half of last year.

From what we hear, Dolly Ki Doli is inspired by RSVP (Ronde Saare Vyah Picho), a film about a woman who cons men into marrying her and then runs away with all their cash – until, one day, she ends up falling in love with one of her targets. Arbaaz already confirmed that Sonam plays a runaway bride in his film, but just how much this film resembles RSVP is something we’ll have to wait and see.

Nonetheless, RSVP was well-received, and if the team’s enthusiasm is anything to go by, Dolly Ki Doli seems to be shaping up nicely as well. Are you looking forward to it?
