There have been rumours flying for a while now that Shahid Kapoor would be doing a film with director duo, Raj and DK, who had earlier directed the offbeat zombie comedy, Go Goa Gone. Now, however, there is confirmation – although they’re still working on the Saif Ali Khan starrer Happy Ending, they’re already planning their next project, which is to be a crime thriller that the two have written themselves. Krishna DK recently went on record to say that they have signed Shahid on for the film, which is tentatively titled Fake.

Krishna DK told Mirror:

“Shahid will play a scamster who commits one of the biggest financial frauds the country has ever witnessed. His character thinks that he is above the establishment, but eventually, the law catches up with him.”

He also claims that Fake will see Shahid in a completely different avatar, and they, themselves, like to explore a different genre with all the films that they do. They’re planning to go on floors at the end of this year, post the release of Happy Ending. What do you think – does it sound like an interesting project?
