Listen up, people – #MissMaliniHangouts is now known as #MMFridays! And to kickstart this new series of Hangouts, we’ve got the charming Barun Sobti with us today, starting LIVE at 12pm IST. The actor, who shot to fame with his television serial, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, is now all set to make it on the big screen.
He’s got two Bollywood projects in the pipeline already – Main Aur Mr Right and 22 Yards – and he recently signed on a film with John Abraham‘s production house called Satra Ko Shaadi Hai. MissMalini will be having a super fun conversation with Barun starting at noon about all this and more, and you can tune in RIGHT HERE on this post to catch all the action live. Barun will also be speaking with 8 lucky fans (that’s you, #Sobtians!) but even if you weren’t picked, don’t worry – we’ve pulled a handful of questions straight from you and will be asking him that during the conversation.
As always, make sure you’re tweeting live as well! Use the hashtag #MMFridays and tag @MissMalini on Twitter to make sure we get your tweets.
Barun’s favourite cartoon as a child: Tom & Jerry
What Barun learned on sets of Satra Ko Shaadi Hai: How to beat the heat! And drink a lot of water – without needing to go to the bathroom!
Barun: “I’m a very bad singer… I don’t think you want to hear.”
Barun: When John Abraham met me, he said he’s surprised with the fan base I have!
Barun: “With the movie I just shot, it wasn’t easy, it was really tough – we were outdoors, on a single start-to-finish schedule. But it was definitely easier than films.”
Barun: “I like playing layered characters. People with different shades.”
If Barun had to be someone else for a day, he would like to be his wife – to see how she “jhelofies” him!
“John Abraham has told me he has never in his life had a fight with anyone.”
A song that currently defines Barun’s state of mind: “I want to say Highway to Hell… but… the title song of Ishaqzaade.”
“If I had to go back and give myself any advice, it would be – just do what you did!”
