It won’t be too long now until we’re all hit with the monsoon season, so if you’re planning your last set of summer escapades – or are travelling abroad for a fun vacation – make sure you also have your beach bag completely set. We asked Evelyn Sharma, who’s a big traveller herself, what she packs into her bag for a fun day at the beach. Keep her tips in mind the next time you’re gearing up for your own day in the sun – here’s what she told us:

Milly beach bag

1. Firstly, you have to pick the actual beach bag! My favourite is the Milly beach bag because of their super cute bamboo handles!

2. The most important thing you need is a good sun screen to protect your skin at all times. I use Clinique SPF 30, because even though it has a high SPF it still gives you a crispy tan!

3. i like to keep 2-3 different shades in my bag and wear them according to my mood at the beach. Sunnies from Mango are perfect as they are not too expensive and so I don’t mind too much if they end up getting scratched in the sand sometimes.

Magazine

4. Of course, you need a bunch of magazines! When better to catch up on the latest fashion if not while tanning with your girl friends!

Monokini

5. You have all been seeing me in my pink bikini dancing to Paani Paani, but here’s a secret: I find one piece “monokinis” way hotter, especially in flowery vintage prints like at Dolce & Gabbana. In private, I almost never wear a two piece to the beach!

Kiko blush

6. Blush! I always carry a peachy one (by Kiko) with me at the beach.

Soap & Glory Mother Pucker

7. I also keep some lip gloss on hand (my favourite is the Soap & Glory Mother Pucker lip plumper) to freshen up the sun-kissed tan.

Kaftan

8. A kaftan (like from H&M – I’m obsessed with palm prints!) so that you’re ready for your lunch date by the sea, when the opportunity arises!
