Don’t you just love Thursdays? It’s just one day away from the weekend! And with the weekend come a whole lot of plans and parties and sometimes a weekend getaway. Last week we helped you figure out your wardrobe for a sundowner, gigs and a play. Incase you’ve planned a quick trip with your friends this weekend, we’re telling you what to wear while travelling. If a trip isn’t on the cards, how about you plan a house party? And all weekends are good when there’s shopping involved!
So here’s what you can wear.
Sometimes all you need is a quiet trip to Lonavala, Alibaug or even Goa to rejuvenate before the next week hits you. Do what the celebs do while travelling. Get your feet into some super cool sneaker wedges. They’re sneakers, so they’re comfy and they give you that extra height for the glam factor. You can’t go wrong.
An oversize tote (preferably in a bright color), a straw fedora if you’re going to Goa and a pair of quirky sunnies (because the rain isn’t quite here as yet) is all you need while travelling.
You know those weekends when you try and try and fail to make a proper plan with your friends? If this weekend is one of those, plan a house party! Make it BYOB, and all you need after that is some music and chips and dip. If you’re invited to one such house party remember not to overdress! As much as you want to go out dancing, you’re actually going to someone’s house. Tone down the look and throw on some well fitting jeans and a shirt.
You could add a blazer and some red lipstick to make it just a little more formal if you like.
We already told you about Le Mill going on sale. We’ve also heard that there is a sale going on at Ensemble. Another cool exhibition to check out would be Loft 119 at Tangerine Art Studio. If you’re going on a power-shopping trip, dress comfortable. Make thong sandals, a loose skirt or leggings and a not too heavy bag your best friends for that day.
Try not to wear a dress, because if you’re trying on a top you might need to try on a pair of bottoms as well to get a good idea (and the other way round too). Lace-up shoes wouldn’t work either if you’re planning to try on shoes.
Does this help solve your weekend wardrobe dilemmas? Are you going to a kind of party that hasn’t made this list? Tell us and we’ll try to solve all your wardrobe worries!
