Rape is such a sensitive issue in India that has been looked at from many angles, discussed at many debates, yet always ends up as a question mark. But these people at YesNoMaybe did more than just talk. They conducted a social experiment to see how would people react if they heard a woman being attacked. Watch this video now, it is like a mirror reflection of our society, and mostly it’s not pretty. 🙁
They hired a car with blacked out windows and parked it in a secluded area. They set up a pre-recorded audio byte to play on loop inside the car, in which a woman is screaming for help and is apparently being raped by a group of goons. Did you not close your eyes with horror when you saw the first few people walk off like they didn’t hear anything? They didn’t even think about the fact that tinted windows are prohibited. But then again, there were a few people who were outrageous. Now, did you see the society in the mirror? We know what needs to change, we just need to stop talking and act.
