It’s been a while since we saw this leggy lass on the silver screen but that’s about to change! Chitrangda Singh, who has been away from the limelight, will be seen doing a special number in Akshay Kumar’s Gabbar. Riding high on the success of his last film, Holiday, Akki, along with the Inkaar actress, will groove to the tunes of Bollywood’s current favourite rapper, Yo Yo Honey Singh.
The 38-year-old actress, who got divorced earlier this year, has mostly been seen in Sudhir Mishra’s films. According to the buzz, the filmmakers were looking for a known face to do the song, when Akki suggested her name. Looks like he took their last song ‘I want just you’ a little too seriously! We don’t blame him. She really did scorch the screen in Shirish Kunder’s Joker!
The Akshay Kumar – Shruti Hassan starrer will be directed by Krish and has been written by AR Murugadoss. The film, produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali has Sajid – Wajid composing the music and is slated for a January 2015 release. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see if this one strikes gold too!
