Vogue India Magazine held its annual Vogue Beauty Awards last evening and like every year, the celebrities came in droves to show their support. Some of them even went home with awards. Like they did at an earlier event, majority of the women wore different kinds of black ensembles and very few moved away from all the dark shades. Well dark or not, some of the girls really stood out. Here’s a quick list of who wore what.
Kangana Ranaut had a bit of an issue with the paparazzi but all was well and they didn’t add another starlet to their banned list. She sported super sexy separates from Namrata Joshipura. Oh how we wish we could dress like Kangana. She won the award for Beauty of the Year.
Kajol decided to ditch the gowns and went with a suit by Shehlaa Khan and she accessorised with a sparkly Jimmy Choo clutch. Not loving the look a whole lot but neck up, she looks absolutely stunning.
Twinkle Khanna took home the award for Timeless Beauty and she’s also Vogue’s August cover girl. While we can’t wait to see the issue, she was sported wearing a Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress to the event.
The Queen girls are everywhere! While Kangana won an award, Lisa Haydon wasn’t left out. She won Breakthrough of the Year. Lisa, Shilpa Shetty and Shibani Dandekar all sported some risque cut out gowns and while Lisa’s and Shibani’s were from Deme by Gabriella, Shilpa Shetty wore a Monisha Jaising.
While Parineeti Chopra looked flawless, she also won the award for Flawless Face. If you think she looks a bit like Deepika Padukone here with her hair, lip colour and even choice of outfit, it’s because she was styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania who also styles Deepika. She wore Dior.
Aditi Rao Hydari and Nimrat Kaur both gave off a very old school vibe with their curled up hair do and oxblood lips. While Aditi is wearing Monisha Jaising, Nimrat is wearing a gown by Shehlaa Khan and won an award for Fresh Face.
Nina Manuel and Neha Dhupia both wore and carried some lust-worthy accessories. Nina wore a dress by Maje and carried a stunning Mawi clutch while Neha wore separates from Heumn and an eye catching necklace from Outhouse.
While Huma Qureshi went a bit gothic in her Amit Aggarwal outfit, Kiara Advani did the opposite in her Jade gown and Jimmy Choo clutch. Not one of Kiara’s best looks, we think.
Kriti Sanon and Dipannita Sharma were the only two women who sported bright outfits. Kriti wore a Dior gown and was awarded with Face to Watch Out For while Dipannita wore a sari from Frou Frou
