So being a minority isn’t all that bad. Lefties (left handed people) comprise of just about 10% of the world’s population, but you’d be surprised to know that the best from all fields have been lefties. So not only do I take pride in being a lefty, but was as excited to know that our own MissMalini also uses her left hand to write all the goss on fashion, Bollywood and lifestyle!

From the likes of Barack Obama, Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey and Jimi Hendrix who have ‘left’ us amazed by their leadership skills, community work and their art, we look at 7 Indians who make the left-handed world proud!

1. Narendra Modi

The newly elected Prime Minister of the country is the latest example of the world dominance by the lefties! So while he promises to take India to greater heights, we’re cheering him on with our left hands in the air!

2. Ratan Tata

While all the right handed people have popped open another tab to find famous righties, we’ve already entered the business world. The suave Mr. Tata is one left handed businessman who’s signed with the right hand… sorry, we mean the left hand!

3. Sachin Tendulkar

All those hundreds and the sixes that left the stadium were scored by a left handed Sachin! This cricketing legend tops the list of lefties that give us a reason to cheer. And just before you say it’s a chance in a million for a lefty to make it in sports, don’t forget Saurav Ganguly, Yuvraj Singh, Irfan Pathan and Zaheer Khan are just some more cricketrs who have entertained you with their skills with their ‘dain’ haath ka khel!

4. Karan Johar

The king of family entertainers, Karan Johar is another feather in the proud lefties cap. So next time you watch a 100 crore blockbuster hit, there’s a pretty good chance it was a left handed director who was calling the shots!

5. Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan

The biggest Bollywood family houses two lefties, need we say more. Big B and Junior B both use their left hand to make the right decisions.

**Now, you’d never believe that the next two individuals in this list share a same trait, but in this case, they do!

6. Sunny Leone

Though Baby Doll doesn’t really need to write too much, but we do know that she used her left hand to sign on the dotted line for her first Bollywood film. So next time you drool over her pink lips, please know that if it weren’t for her steady left hand, she would have still been a distant fantasy!

This name takes it all. The reason for free India and the person who the world recognizes our country with, the Mahatma walked our country to freedom with the stick in his left hand. So if you’re proud to be an Indian, the lefties find another reason to be proud of!
