10 Things We Loved About The Deltin Daman, Monsoon Getaway!

Well hello there 🙂 as you might have noticed I’ve been doing my fair share of monsoon staycationing & travel so I thought I should perhaps share the bounty! Just last weekend we were invited to experience the expansive Deltin, Daman resort which is approximately a 3.5 hour drive from Bombay (or at least that’s how long it took us from Khar West!).

Daman & Diu is actually a union territory that you drive through Gujrat to access, but nobody panic! The luxury resort is far from dry, in fact they even have a Casino there that will be operational shortly! (Remember the Axe Boat Party? It happened aboard one of the Deltin’s sister concerns, the Deltin Royale which was equally awesome.) But for now lets go to Daman and I want to show you all the things that delighted me most!

1. Road Trips Are Awesome!

Also going on a road-trip triple date with some of your favourite people is priceless. That way you get some romantic time together with your boo…

AND you can also party it up with your peeps after dinner 🙂 But more on that later…!

For now just look how happy we are taking this selfie 🙂 next time I’m throwing a GoPro on the dashboard and recording the whole thing! (Santa, are you listening?)

2. Yes The Pool Actually Looks Like This…!

The Deltin pool

And if that wasn’t enough there’s a second private pool in the back and little dipper on the side 🙂

Plus there’s The Poolside Bar (Bar and Mediterranean style Grill and Barbecue). Sold!

In fact, the whole Deltin property is MASSIVE with the casino theme echoing throughout.

Even this chandelier was strung with shiny clubs, spades, diamonds and hearts!

3. My Room, My Palace

The Deltin superior room

The superior rooms were absolutely luxurious! High ceilings, lots of space around the comfiest bed and a view of the pool to drink coffee by and watch the monsoon outside!

I also quite liked this print on print action I captured in the endless hallway too 🙂

5. The Emperor’s Own Banquet

The Emperor Restaurant

Seriously, The Emperor Restaurant (Chinese Cuisine) goes down as one of the coolest dining experiences I’ve had in a long time!

Also getting to your “Emperor’s pod” is simpler than it looks!

Once you’re cocooned in, you’re all set to enjoy a delicious and intimate culinary experience complete with a full fish!

Also this fish bowl Instagram by @nrizwanu of @bombaybhukkad was worth the visit alone 🙂

In fact the service in general all across The Deltin Daman was super fab and attentive. Special props to Blenden, Vikas, Hemant & Sanket. What rockstars!

They even set up a fabulous tapas bar with yummy treats for us and more heart colored sofa cushions!

7. Spa-licious

The Deltin Spa

The Deltin spa was fantastic. Definite highlight of the trip. All six of us gave the spa a double thumbs up and various oohs and aahs!

Kanupriya

I just tried the 30 minute foot massage but even that was utterly epic! The crew that tried the back and head massages gave therapists Kimmy and Anjum a special mention too.

The Deltin Spa

I love towel art (I mean, who doesn’t? Remember these towel bunnies in Koh Samui) Well on the same trip I saw a towel elephant that made me think THIS was an elephant too….

Deltin towel art

However it turns out it was a turtle BUT my friend Devraj convinced me it was a little towel man bending over and… then I couldn’t stop laughing for days! LOL.

8. Art Attack!

Saher Bhaloo

Yup, Krsna Mehta‘s casino inspired wall art was literally everywhere! I love all the stuff he designs for India Circus and if you stay tuned you might here of an MM collab you’re gonna want a piece of soon! 🙂

9. Vegas Breakfast/Lunch Buffet

Vegas

The Vegas (multi-cuisine) restaurant is huge as is the variety of flavours.

Bombay Bhukkad approved of the grub as you can see 🙂 and he told me the bacon and pork sausages at breakfast were particularly yummy!

Tanmay and Kanupriya

Also this mutton curry. Delish.
