Okay, so Alia Bhatt has sung in Highway and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania; and Shraddha Kapoor has sung in Ek Villain and recently in Haider. Guess who just hopped on to this bandwagon? Yup, it’s none other than Junior Shotgun a.k.a Sonakshi Sinha!
The Dabangg actress has sung a line in the song ‘Lets Celebrate,’ which will feature the internationally acclaimed Punjabi singer Imran Khan. The artist, who rose to fame with his song Amplifier, is making his Bollywood debut with this song. (Psst! We know you loved Amplifier!) Arjun Kapoor, Sonakshi and Imran recently shot the song for the film, Tevar and have been in the news ever since! The film will also feature Manoj Bajpayee and is a remake of the telugu film Okkadu, which originally starred Mahesh Babu and Bhoomika Chawla.
This trend of actors turning singers seems to be catching up with the rest of the industry and before you know it, our playback singers might just be out of business! (We hope not!) Alia’s and Shraddha’s songs have been topping the charts since they released. Wonder how Sona’s song will turn out. But hey, remember when she rapped to the ‘Raju aur Pappu’ song at the IIFA Awards earlier this year? ‘Silent ho jao varna violent ho jaoongi!’ If that’s anything to go by, this actress is totally going to rock it!
