While his son Tiger Shroff made his Bollywood debut this year with Sajid Nadiadwala’s Heropanti opposite Kriti Sanon, his father Jackie Shroff is all set to deliver a power-packed performance in his next. Apparently, the veteran will be seen boxing in quite a few sequences in the flick. And guess who’s helping him in prepping up for the role?
Well, it’s none other than Jr. Shroff himself. It seems he has chalked out a diet and workout regime for his daddy dearest. Not just that, the newbie also makes sure that his papa doesn’t go for late night outings too often. In fact, he has designed a routine especially for him so that it doesn’t hamper his daily schedule. Talking about the same, Tiger shares, “Dad is the opposite of me in many ways. He is… what’s the word? Bindaas — oblivious to all forms of social restraint. But he has agreed to listen to me finally as he needs to get into shape for his role of a boxer in his next.”
Now, isn’t that so sweet of the actor to train his dad for his forthcoming release? Jackie’s next, Brothers is supposed to be the Bollywood remake of The Warrior. The official announcement states that Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra also star in the film. And the two are going to be seen playing each other’s brothers and Jackie’s sons in it. Considering it’s an out-and-out action flick, Tiger wants his dad to look fit on screen and is therefore, leaving no stone unturned in bringing out the best in him. Despite being a tad reluctant initially, Sr. Shroff finally gave in and agreed to follow the routine designed by Tiger. Now, isn’t that a rocking father-son duo?
PS – While writing this blog, I realized it would be quite interesting to see both of them share screen space some day.
What do you think about that, guys?
