It’s fashion month and currently, all the fashion bigwigs are holed up in New York where the first set of shows take place. As we’ve been keeping a close eye on what’s going on on the runways of NY, this one show actually didn’t have a runway. They made Central Park their runway and used the city of New York as their backdrop.
Don’t let the image fool you, those models aren’t real. Last night, Ralph Lauren, for his Polo show decided to have everyone gather around the Central Park lake and projected the entire collection on it – in 4D no less! Everyone was transported to the venue in golf carts and were treated to this visual genius! Take a look…
How awestruck are you? I had goosebumps! The film has been shot around the city of New York to celebrate Polo Ralph Lauren’s hometown and their launch at the same time. While I couldn’t stop looking at it over and over, Gigi from Team MissMalini directed my eyes to something Alexander McQueen did in 2006…
Amazed? I can’t wait till our own designers start pulling these tricks out of their sleeves. Can you imagine some of Manish Malhotra‘s virtual lehenga’s floating down a physically non-existent runway?
