We’ve all had that one (if you’re unlucky, then more than one) jerk who has practically ruined our lives! Alright, I might be going overboard but admit it, there’s always that one person who breaks our heart into a million pieces and it takes mammoth efforts on our behalf to piece it back together (my mush factor is in turbo mode today). So because I’m a nice and kind person (and I’ve been through shit too), here’s a list of 10 feel good movies that will definitely help you get over that jerk! Feel free to add your favourite movies too :)
Because Bridget Jones goes through the entire humiliation of being a single woman in her 30’s (it’s ridiculous I know), but the best part is that she never lets that get in the middle of her having a blast and finally finding the one who likes her ‘just the way she is’.
Revenge is a dish best served cold and this movie is like a vindication of all our anger (PG rated anger I must mention). More than anything else, it’s such a fun movie to watch!
Two different women, two heart melting stories! The Holiday is a movie that gives me happy and sad tears. The best scene though is when Kate Winslet’s character finally moves on from her selfish, horrible and pathetic ex-boyfriend.
Call your bestie right now, buy a bottle of cheap wine and a tub of ice cream and immediately put this movie on (irrespective of you being dumped, cheated upon, single, hooked up, married, dating, babies, grand babies, etc etc).
Elle Woods showed the way for a woman to get the best revenge, beat the guy in his own game! Become the thing he wanted to be and be so successful at it that he fails miserably!
I don’t even need to say why Queen should be a must watch!
There’s a reason why Jennifer Lawrence is everyone’s favourite! Also, this time around it was a woman who was a jerk to poor Bradley Cooper (who in their right mind would cheat on him?) so this movie can be enjoyed by both sexes!
Clementine: You’re not a stalker or anything, right?
Joel: I’m not a stalker. You’re the one that talked to me, remember?
Clementine: That is the oldest trick in the stalker book.
Joel: Really? There’s a stalker book? Great, I gotta read that one.
I mean the makers can write a book on the banter between the lead characters!
The best way to get over him (for anger which is far above the PG rate) is to watch this movie and fantasize about killing your ‘Bill‘ the same way!
Like you didn’t see that coming!
These movies will definitely help you get over that jerk! Don’t you think?
