A lot of Bollywood stars are transitioning to televison. Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Abhay Deol, Anil Kapoor and many more have made fairly successful television debuts in the past. The latest to join this list is Sonali Bendre.

Bendre is no stranger to the small screen. She has judged many shows on the tube and also hosted some. However, now the babe is all set to enter the fiction realm of television with her brand new show Ajeeb Daastan Hai Yeh on Life OK.

Well, while we await Sonali’s big comeback, we have come across something rather shocking! Buzz is that Bendre is being paid a whooping sum of 4 lakh per episode – making her the highest paid actor on Television!

It is a known fact that Ram Kapoor and Ronit Roy earned the biggest bucks on television till now, as they demanded anything between 1 lakh to 1.5 lakh per episode. If the rumours are true, Sonali has overthrown them of that position!

The promo of the show is out already and shows Sonali and Apoorva Agnihotri in a coffee shop. Buzz is that the plot is going to deal with extra marital affair and will also star Harsh Chaya in a pivotal role.

Well, considering Sonali Bendre has had a film career spanning over about 50 films, maybe it does make sense for her to demand a price slightly above industry standards. However, we must not forget that Sonali wasn’t really a Bollywood star back in the day.
