Star of the very popular Star Plus show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Karan Patel found himself in a bit of a soup a few days ago when Finding Fanny stars Arjun Kapoor and Deepika Padukone were on the set of the show to promote their film. Karan reached the set very late, apparently a usual occurrence with him, and kept not only the stars but also the media waiting.
The creative writers of the show had to make last minute changes in their script to accommodate Karan Patel’s absence. When he finally arrived, he blamed the media for the delay and lashed out at them rather unceremoniously. He went on to say that he will walk out of the shoot if the media did not leave the set, and that they should be banned from set visits in the future as it delays shoot and serves as a distraction from work.
Well that is quite a stand against the media that Karan wants to take, considering they are responsible for his popularity. Patel’s costar, Divyanka Tripathi, was also present on the set and the lovely lady had her own stand to take. She announced that if the media does not have permission to be on set, she will also walk away from the shoot.
Speaking on the issue, the very humble Divyanka Tripathi said, “I am doing what I am feeling is right. I know from what pain a media person goes through, and because of them we become so popular. I am always there for media people. Hope this issue gets solved very soon.”
