Even amidst the promotions of his upcoming film Haider, Shahid Kapoor is constantly taking some time out and doing his bit to lend help and support to the victims of the recent Jammu & Kashmir floods. The actor, who had first visited the beautiful place as a kid, spent months there recently while shooting for his new outing.
Sasha and the entire team of Haider have many memories attached to Pahalgam and Srinagar. He was not only mesmerized with the scenic beauty of J & K but also in awe of the people who reside there. The Bollywood heartthrob has struck a chord with the local unit members there and he was often seen mingling with them during breaks on the sets. Not just the local crew, Shahid was also seen chatting away with the staff of the hotel he was putting up in during his stay in Kashmir.
Apparently, to get into the skin of his character, the talented lad had to adapt the mannerisms of Kashmiris and that had intrigued him a lot. He was touched by the simplicity and generosity of the locals there. After wrapping up their shoot in Jammu & Kashmir, Sasha was quite sad and he had even posted on a networking site, “Wrapped for #Haider. Bye bye Kashmir… Had a great time here… people have big hearts… Will miss the local team specially…”
Naturally, the actor is deeply saddened by the recent natural disaster that has shook his favourite destination in India. He has not only donated generously for the victims but has also used his social networking profiles to reach out and support the ones in need.
