Vishal Bhardwajj’s much anticipated Shahid Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor starrer Haider is slated for a 2nd October release. We will also get to see the interesting pair of Tabu and Kay Kay Menon. was a surprise stored in for Salman fans. Surprised? Well, of course Bhardwaj has a logic behind it.
Apparently, the film is set in Kashmir in the 90s. So at the time, explains the directer, there was a huge Salman following as Hum Aapke Hai Koun had just come out and had become a massive hit. Because of this, Vishal etched out not one but two characters called Salman in the film who are die hard Salman fans. Many young people wore Salman inspired clothes and sported his HAHK hairstyle.
Haider is Vishal’s interpretation of Shakespeare’s Hamlet. What we are looking forward to now is his interpretation of Salman. Also, we wonder what Salman will have to say to this. Now with Bigg Boss starting today, we can’t have enough of Salman anyway.
The trailers of Haider have left everyone intrigued and now with this quirky information, we are even more excited.
