Dharma Productions’ much delayed Ungli is finally gearing up for a November 2014 release. The film stars Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut, Randeep Hooda, Angad Bedi and Neil Bhoopalam and the makers have finally released the first trailer of the film. Rensil D’Silva, who has previously directed Kurbaan and 24 (TV Series), is directing this film.
The plot of the film has five youngsters who come together to form an underground group called Ungli to fight corruption in the country. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt as a policeman who has been recruited to track down this group. Will the group manage to show the policeman the ungli or will Dutt’s character join in too? We’ll have to wait and watch.
The film looks fairly edgy from the trailer and we are particularly looking forward to the film’s sizzling item number featuring Shraddha Kapoor.
We are slightly disappointed that Kangana, who is playing one of the main characters in the film, is barely visible in the promo. However we’re really looking forward to Sanju Baba onscreen after a long absence.
It’s too soon to comment on the film yet and we are awaiting the release of a few dialogue promos. Interestingly, Ungli is already trending on social media so it’s clearly building up in anticipation!
