Almost a year after scoring a huge double century with Dhoom 3 (which just fell short of the triple century mark), Katrina Kaif is now back with Bang Bang. If in the Aamir Khan starrer she was a dancer, in the Hrithik Roshan affair she is enacting the part of a simple girl who finds herself amidst chases, bullets and blasts. It all stays on to be fun though for Katrina who is all set to gather yet another century in quick time and could well head towards yet another double century too.

Still, it wasn’t easy for her when she was shooting for the film. For starters, the film was in the making for around two and a half years. Moreover, she suffered health problems as well which – though not as drastic as Hrithik’s – did make her a lot anxious about days ahead, considering the fact that Bang Bang was an action affair.

“Yes, Bang Bang has been a life changing experience for most people,” sighs Katrina, “There were a lot of things that were hampering us. Hrithik went through his surgery as well as some difficult changes in his personal life. Still, he went about completing the film. Even I had some of the hardest times of my life, especially with pain in my neck and head.”

Though Katrina had thought that after all the heavy duty dance and acrobatics in Dhoom 3 she would have an easy time on the sets and locations of Bang Bang, that wasn’t really the case to be.

She says, “When so many tough things are happening in your life, a lot plays in your mind. You do get afraid; there is a lot of negativity and anxiety. It was difficult and I had to go through a lot. Of course it was not to a level that Hrithik had gone through but then when it comes to me in particular, I had to overcome it all. I know for sure that even Sid (director Siddharth Anand) had been traumatized by the whole experience because every time he tried something spectacular, something or the other used to come back and hit him on his face.”

On a parting note, Katrina adds with a smile, “May be it was time or destiny but then I think most people involved with the film went through a journey of their own. Still, all in good time, I guess. The movie has released and now it is time to sit back and enjoy what audience has to offer to us all.”
