Aaah, no one could see this coming. Shah Rukh Khan has an unlikely new entrant on the day his Happy New Year releases and the man happens to be an ex-cricketer no less. The man is making a rather belated Bollywood debut in his late 30s (he is 37 year old to be precise) with this film which is said to be a comic outing.

Well, to break the suspense, the cricketer happens to be Dinesh Mongia, who was pretty active in the sports circuit till a few days back. However, the acting bug bit him some time ago and he is making his debut in a film called (now this one is a real killer) – Kabbab Me Haddi.

Surprisingly, the film has arrived out of nowhere and is now releasing on 24th October, the slot that even Rekha and Indra Kumar vacated once they felt that it would be futile to unveil their Super Nani alongside SRK on the day when he is bringing his Happy New Year. However, the makers of Kabbab Me Haddi don’t seem to have any such apprehensions and are pretty much okay to live up to the title… especially when the craze for watching the Farah Khan offering featuring SRK and Deepika Padukone (the Om Shanti Om trio) has reached its peak.

Incidentally, Dinesh plays the part of an Income Tax Director in the film, who is also shown as a die-hard fan of none other than Amitabh Bachchan. Due to this, there is a huge Big B influence in the way he dresses up and also delivers his dialogue in the film.

To add some more spice to this kabab, there is Daler Mehndi in the film and he is also seen as a Big B fan!

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is going ahead with his mega promotional activities of Happy New Year and we wonder if he is even aware that another film with a title like this is actually arriving alongside him. One wonders how he would actually react when told about this Kabbab Me Haddi.

As for those who associated with the film who have actually made this move, all we can say is – Were you inspired by the Bang Bang dare? Because honestly, a move like this is nothing short of that!

All the best folks!
