Pavitra Rishta, that started as a raging success, could not sustain its popularity. The show has seen its ups and downs, with many people reacting badly to the time leaps that have happened. The show’s actors also weren’t too pleased – Ankita Lokhande famously threatened to quit the show last year, but ended up returning when she was assured she would get a bigger role.
Several other actors already have left the show after not being too pleased with their characters; Sushant Singh Rajput was the first back in 2011 (Hiten Tejwani replaced him), and eventually others like Rithwik Dhanjani and Asha Negi followed suit.
The makers tried everything to keep their numbers up by incorporating many changes, but nothing has really clicked. So now the show is finally coming to an end. But the makers have a huge surprise is store for the audiences.
Ekta Kapoor has roped in Sushant Singh Rajput to make a last appearance on the show. Hiten, who had replaced Sushant as Manav, will be making an early exit to accommodate Sushant’s comeback. To conclude the final episode, Archana will die and Sushant, the original Manav, will be seen holding her hand; symbolizing how they’re going to be together even after death.
As soapy as it sounds, it would be interesting to see how they pull it off. We think it’s very sweet of Sushant to be part of the finale of the show that was his original claim to fame.
