Luck hasn’t been favouring Preity Zinta for quite a while now. On the professional front, her comeback flick and maiden production in Bollywood, Ishkq in Paris bombed at the box-office and her cricket team Punjab Kings XI lost to Shah Rukh Khan‘s Kokata Knight Riders during last IPL finals. And personally, too, the actress hasn’t been in a happy place. A few months ago, she had filed a complaint against her former boyfriend Ness Wadia for abusing and molesting her publicly at Wankhede stadium in Mumbai during their team’s match.
Remember the days when everyone was gaga over this dimpled beauty? From dancing under the waterfall in a soap commercial to starring opposite the one and only SRK in the blockbuster flick Kal Ho Na Ho – this girl from Himachal had come a long way. Her Bollywood career was going great guns when suddenly everything went slightly awry. It’s rather difficult to pinpoint when and why exactly things changed for her.
And now, she has landed herself into another controversy by asking a man to leave the movie theatre since he didn’t stand during the national anthem before a show of Bang Bang.
The aftermath hasn’t been too great as the social networking websites are flooded with comments of people and several media persons taking digs at her.
Soon after that, Preity deleted her post but it was too late by then. To clarify and come clean, she posted the following post to a daily that reported the incident.
Some did come to Preity’s rescue and supported her for taking a stand and being patriotic. Preity retweeted most of their tweets on her timeline:
Here’s the video about respecting our national anthem that she posted.
Preity has always been quite vocal about the things that she believes in. And considering she’s an army brat, it is expected that she rather sentimental when it comes to patriotism. According to you, was she right or wrong? What do you guys have to say about this?
